Accordion Fold: Bindery term, two or more parallel
folds which open like an accordion.
Acetate: A transparent sheet placed over originals or artwork on which
a designer writes instructions and\or indicates a second color for
placement.
Against the Grain: At right angles to direction of paper grain.
Alteration: Change in copy of specifications after production has
begun.
Aqueous Coating: A water based coating applied like ink by a printing
press to protect and enhance the printing underneath.
Artboard: Alternate term for mechanical art.
